The Invested Community CIC

Empowering
Families.
Transforming
Futures.

Families are the cornerstone of society. This is our covenant with them.

We believe the family is where society is built. So we're calling families, young people, and communities to stand together, moving from risk to resilience, from isolation to belonging, from surviving to living on purpose. This isn't a service we deliver to you. It's a covenant we're inviting you to join.

Our Culture

Our Social Covenant

A Social Covenant is a foundational, non-legal commitment based on trust, loyalty, and mutual responsibility, designed to help people live together, foster social cohesion, and serve the common good. Unlike a social contract, which is a legalistic agreement on power and rights, a covenant builds community and relationship. It asks not "what am I owed," but "what do I owe."

We believe the family is the first covenant any of us ever enters, and the cornerstone every other institution is built on top of. When families hold, communities hold. When families break, the fractures spread into schools, into streets, into the next generation. You cannot legislate your way to strong families, and you cannot fund your way there either. You can only choose it, together, on purpose, and keep choosing it. This is the foundation of everything we do at The Invested Community.

"We believe that every family, every young person, and every community deserves to be seen, supported, and given the tools to flourish. We don't just serve communities. We enter into covenant with them."
The Invested Community CIC: Social Covenant
Mutual Commitment
We make a reciprocal promise to every person we work with: to show up consistently, to listen before we speak, and to walk alongside, not ahead of, the communities we serve.
Collective Responsibility
We hold ourselves accountable to the communities, families, and individuals who trust us with their lives. Their progress is our purpose. Their outcomes are our measure of success.
Rooted in Values
Our Social Covenant is grounded in faith, integrity, and the belief that genuine community transformation begins with genuine human relationships, not just programmes and projects.

We are not asking you to donate to a cause and walk away. We are asking you to enter into covenant with us: to show up, to keep your word, and to hold your family and your neighbour's family as the cornerstones worth protecting that they are.

Who We Are

Here for Families.

The Invested Community CIC exists to strengthen families and create long-term community transformation.

We believe that families are the foundation of society. When families are supported, equipped, and empowered, they are better able to raise confident children, contribute positively to their communities, and build sustainable futures.

"We don't deliver one-off interventions. We build connected ecosystems of support that empower families today and transform futures tomorrow."

We work with families, young people, and communities, particularly those facing disadvantage, to provide practical, values-led pathways that support wellbeing, education, economic stability, housing, and future-ready skills.

"Service is important, but how you serve is better."
We are not just a service provider. We are a community, a movement of people committed to seeing families flourish, young people step into purpose, and communities transformed from the inside out.
How we work
→ We stand with families, not over them
→ We build community, not caseloads
→ We practise what we teach, in our own homes first
→ We measure what matters, and we keep our word
Vision & Mission

The Invested Community CIC

We exist to empower families, strengthen communities, and transform futures, for generations to come.

Our Vision

A society where families are empowered, resilient, and equipped to thrive, creating transformed futures for generations to come.

Our Mission

To empower families and young people, particularly those facing disadvantage, through integrated community pathways that strengthen wellbeing, education, economic opportunity, housing stability, and innovation.

Our Culture & Philosophy

Real Change Happens With People, Not To People

Our culture is built on a simple but powerful belief: Empowering Families | Transforming Futures. This shapes how we think, how we work, and how we measure success.

Prevention before Crisis
Early support that creates long-term stability. We intervene before crisis, not after. Prevention is always more powerful than cure.
Values-Led
Integrity, responsibility, stewardship, and purpose in everything we do. Our values are not aspirations. They are the standard we hold ourselves to daily.
Families First
We work with the whole household, not just individuals. Families are the foundation of society, and the foundation of everything we build.
Empowerment over Dependency
Building confidence, capability, and ownership, equipping people to lead their own futures with strength, not to remain dependent on support.
Inclusive & Collaborative
Working alongside communities and partners, not above them. We co-create solutions, ensuring dignity, relevance, and long-term community ownership.
Future-Focused
Preparing families for a changing world, from digital skills to economic opportunity, so the next generation inherits possibility, not poverty.

Your Family Is an Asset

"Strong families don't happen by accident. They are built with intention."

A practical, interactive family workshop experience hosted by The Shillingfords. Not theory. Not perfection. Practice, process, and real principles from a real blended family who live this daily. This is our founding cohort, the first wave of families building this with us, and we're inviting you to help shape what it becomes.

One parent who joined our February 2026 workshop told us it started at the Christmas table: sitting together as a family and realising they'd lost their shared language. That's what this workshop rebuilds.

  • A clear Family Vision Statement every family takes home
  • A shared Family Mission they write together in the room
  • A practical Family Code of Conduct they commit to
  • Defined Family Characteristics: Love, Faith, Hope, Family
  • A take-home Family Blueprint Workbook
  • Quality, intentional time together as a family unit

Impact & Social Value

What Change Looks Like

We measure what matters, because the families we work with deserve proof, not promises. Every programme is built around outcomes that communities, funders, and commissioners can all see and verify.

From Risk to Resilience
Young people and families presenting with high risk factors engaged, stabilised, and moved onto positive pathways, reducing demand on statutory services.
Stronger Family Units
Families leaving our programmes with shared vision, values, and a practical blueprint for intentional family life, measurable through follow-up surveys and engagement.
Into Education & Employment
Participants progressing into education, training, or employment, tracked against national indicators and reported to funders with verified outcome data.
Community Cohesion
Cross-community partnerships built between faith groups, schools, employers, and statutory services, creating a sustainable local support ecosystem.
Reduced Reoffending
Rehabilitation and reintegration programmes targeting reduced reoffending rates, in partnership with youth justice teams and local authorities.
Social Value Return
Every programme is mapped to a Social Value framework, enabling corporate partners to evidence their CSR and Social Value commitments with real, auditable data.
